Good friends, Gary Blundell, Victoria Ward and Collin Burke were together one February day. The day involved good food and wine and mixed conversations. An idea was formulated. Victoria was beginning to explore a series of ice hut inspired paintings, Gary talked of his love of retro tin covered ice huts, Collin drank wine, played music and talked about his desire to create an event. Gary said how fun it would be to make a social event involving all of the aspects...............Two year later.

The friends moved forward... Collin and Victoria joined forces with Toronto-based artist and graphic designer, Patrick Lightheart. Together, the idea has become a reality.
Three ice huts will be erected on Lake Kashawigamog this February 9&10; for one weekend they will be transformed into art made by professional artists Chris Hanson and Hendrika Sonnenberg, Victoria Ward and Rod Prouse. Hosted at the Bonnie View Inn, the last great Lake Kashagawigamog resorts.
There will be inspired art, food presented by local culinary masters, and crafted libations. Enhanced with vinyl spinning from Dan's retro Russell Red Records, ice skating and a bonfire pit. Come out, dress worm, and discover a mid winter afternoon and evening illuminated by an idea.
